Local SEO is the art of getting your business found in search engines based on the global positioning of a user.
For example, it’s lunchtime, and I’m walking up and down the streets of Annapolis, Maryland. I’m hungry, so I ask Google (via mobile phone) to find the “best pizza restaurant near me,” Google returns the top 3 pizza places closest to my current location, provides walking directions, and any current specials.
Local SEO is a good way to for local businesses to get new and repeated customers via foot traffic, establishes branding, and helps the business to stand out in the SERP’s (Search Engine Results Page).

- Google My Business
- Google + Local
- Schema Markup
- Reviews/online reputation
- Business name, address, phone number (NAP) displayed on your website.
